Research Interests

My primary research interests lie in the study of contemporary and historical small-scale societies from a human behavioural ecology perspective, with an emphasis on their potential to inform us on the biological and behavioural adaptations of prehistoric foraging communities.

I coordinate and teach on BAN7 (Culture and Behaviour), which primarily explores the use of primates and contemporary and historical hunter-gatherers as models for understanding hominin behaviour and its evolution.
